FORD Snowcat??

A buddy just returned from the local salvage yard with a Ford Snowcat. At least that's what he says it is.

From his description over the phone, it had a front-mounted Ford V-8 engine (missing), with a hood ahead of the cab. It seats one, and sounds like a short sloped deck behind the cab. It's Ford blue, with a Ford emblem on the front.

The transmission is still there, with all the hardware for mounting the engine. It's got a separate wet-brake differential, mounted into the chassis (not like the SV200 with the diff. reservoir part of the chassis). It has three bogey wheels per side, and it's friction drive - no sprockets. It's about 7+ feet wide, and 12 long. The tracks are about 2 feet wide, with outer grousers and inner track guides on each side of the tires. He says the tires look like aircraft tires.

I'm anxiously awaiting photos, but any ideas about this?
