yup they sure did, plans are for a chair lift from government camp to timberline lodge and they are contracting with a guy to do snow cat tours.


I have a great idea. Instead of a chair lift, why not convert some intercity buses to operate on a cableway between the two.

been there, done that, on the tram buses

timberline lodge is going to have skiing from timberline to government camp, the whole northside of mt hood will become a great ski mecca, with light rail trains running from portland to government camp, mid mountain brew pubs, ski in - ski out lodging, several grand lodges, this is going to be fabulous....and that is just the winter operations

master plan has been submitted to USFS and looks like approval is a done deal.
