Am I out of my mind?

I have a '91 escort pony, 1.9L 5 speed.
The engine and tranny are primo the coachwork is all done. I just hate to throw it all away.
Suppose I take the entire drive train, mount it to a frame work, replace the rotors with sprockets and mate it to a shaft with tines.
I have a L3130 so the 3PH can pick it up, I estimate the complete project weight at 1000#.
Would this work as a tiller? Am I pissing up the proverbial rope? or am I out of my mind?

Humor me here, I'm in a dangerous mood.

Hey cool idea man, I hate all those good cars gone to the dump with bad bodywork.

How about stripping it back to the chassis and axles and offroading it? If ya really wanna have fun Ive alwas wanted to try running and engine on propane injected into the cylinders, remember to take a video with lots of frames, it may not last long.

I reckon its very doable, you might want some big tines though, lots of power. i say go for it, what can go wrong, its scrap anyway right?

Either that or bring it over here on wednesday, I got a day off and we could jack it up a bit, strip it down and go green laning, i know a really cool place with a 10ft deep mud hole (no kidding guys, people lose trucks in it ), hey how bout we stap polystyrene to the side and make it into a car boat. Or chop the back off and make a really big caster on it, would be real crazy to drive

OK I am confused. Is this a "MONSTER GARAGE" mental moment you are having? Not that I am opposed to that, but I am trying to figure the logistics of it.

The Escort is a front drive car. Seems to me that if you cut the car apart and replace the front wheels with tiller tines, and pull it in reverse you'd have the makings for a very powerful tiller that could probably cover a 10' path if you could modulate the power output to correspond with the soil conditions.

Now if you really want to play around, leave the Escort together, replace the front wheels with tiller tines, reverse the drivers seat, steering mechanism, and other controls so they are all facing backwards. Then you could "drive" the tiller. Of course it would be easier to do that with a rear wheel drive vehicle because it would save all sorts of conversion of the other mechanisms.
