Selling our 1961 Thiokol Trackmaster 4T-10 / 601 snowcat.
This cat was born a 4T-10 (the 10 is referring to a 10-passenger unit), but it has been converted to a much more common steering system from a Bombardier cat, making it more akin to a Thiokol 601. The differential taken from the Bombardier was totally rebuilt after installation (new ring/pinion, bushings, synthetic fluid, etc.), also uses Bombardier sprockets. Rare hybrid machine with power divider removed and replaced with the more reliable, more maintainable, and 'parts available' Bombardier differential unit for steering. Solid core idle wheels. The steering was further upgraded with larger brake master cylinders behind the controls to improve steering even more.
It has a bullet proof Ford 300, C4 automatic transmission (which was rebuilt before installing it) with a transfer case behind it so you have a wide range of speeds you can drive this at.
Currently listed on Ebay, and locally on Craigslist.
The snowcat is located just north of Seattle, WA.
Asking $12,750 locally.
