i was told was one of four snowcats built for the forest service in 1937. it was a 1937 chevy pickup modified to be one of the first snowcats. it uses two hydraulic sticks instead of a steering wheel, like a tank, controling each track. 6 wheels. worm gear differential. the tracks are steel with teak wood track pads. there tracks are put together from ww1 ford model t tracks, for double axial trucks for the military. when we drove it it was great, spining in place, and could go over anything. but its been sitting along time now the engine is froze up now. it would need full restoration. but its all there. every man that sees it thinks its one of the neatest and coolest thing they have ever seen. I was going to restore it but i am getting to old to get to it. my engine restoration guy was going to take out the drive train, with his tow truck. restore the engine and hydraulics. then reinstall it. then i would repaint it, new tires, and glass, and it would be the hit again at any parade, show, or car meet. call paul at show contact info
