As I understand it, Woodstock's 50th anniversary was cancelled. Not sure why. Perhaps it is because all the pot heads have died of drug Overdoses and VD. The Millennials don't want to get muddy.

Just my personal theory of course.

Yep, Aug 15th 1969 the party began.

I was way to young to go ...a friends brother went. I saw the movie and enjoyed it. All these years later I'm glad I was to young. What a mess it was, traffic mud etc. I much prefer seeing it via the movie. LOL

The bands they had for the 50th reunion sucked. Thank goodness that was cancelled.

I read something in Rolling Stone that some of the acts began cancelling, and they couldn't find a suitable place to have it.
Just as well.
Woodstock is one of those things that should have only happened once as it did.
A reunion wouldn't have been cool, man.

I was 9 years old, but remember watching nightly coverage of the days events thanks to Walter Cronkite.

I was 22 just married with a baby. My Guitar was put away in the closet. Life was work and family with no time for the Age of Aquarius. Interesting how many posters here were too busy being responsible, to attend.

1969 was the year that I graduated high school, I was working 3 jobs in order to get money for college, couldn’t have afforded it even if I knew it was going on, I wasn’t that into the music back then (still not), any free time that I had I spent putting protein in the freezer (hunting, fishing, shrimping, giving frogs) or chasing women.
I had several friends who went, they said the music was great, the living conditions were awful.
