When he was helped to stand and salute.
Tears?
Yes.
I've not had a chance to really see much of the coverage, but that one got me going.
Me and the kids watched Air Force One bring him back.
That was moving as well.

The men of this generation who fought WW2 are hero's even today.

They understand how close the world came to chaos and destruction. They lived through rationing, and other hardships that came with defending the free world from the Nazi's (who were socialists).

All of them never forgot that America must come first. I don't know what they teach in school, but history is not one of them. :hammer: Just ask a young person why we fought WW2 and their eyes glaze over.. It is a travesty that even though the greatest generation is still with us in ever decreasing numbers, our youth have no idea. Civility was the theme of the day after the war. All Americans had enough of fighting by the end of the war. Peace and harmony were the most important thing to them..

Regards, Kirk
