The wife and I were watching Texas Country Reporter on RFD-TV the other day and they ran a segment on a museum of Texas Ranger memorabilia. They featured a section on H. Joaquin Jackson, a retired Ranger. His memoir, "One Ranger", written in cooperation with David Marion Wilkinson, was published a couple of years ago. I got a copy and had a hard time putting it down before finishing it. It is a well-written account of his life and 30+ year career in law enforcement. By far the best book I have read in years.
