Re: AFP Anti-war Propaganda

I don't understand, how could the bullets hit her house if they were not fired since the lady is clearly holding loaded ammunition!?! And who the hell is the AFP? And how could someone be so ignorant about ammunition as to post that photo with that caption when the caption is clearly a lie based on the photo?

Now the lady might have found some ammunition that fell onto the ground, or maybe someone stole it and gave it to her, or maybe an anti-war activist set the photo up to dupe someone . . . but clearly unfired ammunition cannot "hit her house."

By the way, Yahoo News still has that photo posted as a legitimate photo (as of 1:07pm CST) Below is a screen shot of the image on the Yahoo News site:

C'mon Bob, you know the coalition forces drive around with buckets full of live ammo and throw it at people's houses just for kicks.

I'm pretty sure this is a fine example of anti-war propaganda.

And it come from FRANCE :4_11_9: :France:

I know it must be hard to believe that FRENCH :France: people would mislead anyone about the war on terror, Iraq, or anything to do with the USA, but AFP is the Agence France-Presse :pat: Here is a link to their website of propaganda: http://www.afp.com/english/home/

Damn, I could have changed a picture better than they could.

Per the text:
A Baghdad area puppy shows a hand grenade recently tossed through the window.... blah blah..

OK, if the hand grenade was tossed and blew everything up, why is:
1. The puppy still alive
2. The grenade still intact (even with the pin in it).
3. The grenade not even of the type being used by our military?
4. The dog having a nice shadow/aura around it?
5. The building demolished. Believe me, a grenade won't even come close to doing that kind of damage.

My bad... I don't use Yahoo at all so I don't know their format.

When I saw "Yahoo News" across the top (instead of "Yahoo Jokes" or "Yahoo, what the F were they thinking when they made this"), I thought it was something being portrayed as legitimate.

Bob,

Can you give a link to this stuff? I can't believe Yahoo would even post this stuff (unless it was in one of the categories I mentioned before).

I made up the last one myself but used a photo that I found on another site. The Puppy one was posted over on the CatholicAnswers.com website by someone in a thread that I started about AFP news service.

Bczoom. . . to your point that picture of the puppy is obviously faked it should be noted that he's holding out a Mk 2 "pineapple" hand grenade, which hasn't been used by the United States since the 1960's.

If it were a real photograph, he'd be holding an M-67 grenade, which sort of like a baseball with a stem on top.

I just found this one over on the Olympic Arms website :yum:

HERE is a little video AFP should watch. It may help them understand... You have to scroll down a bit on the page to see the video screen.
