Aquired these two beautiful Tuckers in February 2015. Have been concentrating my efforts on the smurf colored unit. Hope to have it up and running by winter !! Will post pictures as work progresses. Lots of work but will be really neat when done. Her are a few pics .

great looking projects. How is that 6 X 6 treating you? Loved the looks of that thing when I was there last year.

Also looking for a big snow season this year. Last year was a bust for snow here in Minn. Plenty of ice but had to go to Mich. for snow. New projects included a JD 820 for going on trator runs, that may seem odd to most, but we had a really good time.

What is the process for a "soda scrub?" I'm looking at doing my Tucker and all we have in our area is sand blasting.

A "Soda Scrub "was just my way of saying soda blasting rather than some other media you use sodium bicarbonate . Much less abrasive on the aluminum panels than sand ,nickle slag, glass etc...... No distortion or warping of thin panels. Turned out very good . Now to clean off residue so paint will adhere may be the next project. Here are a couple of pics .

Track Addict, Thanks for the encouraging words. Seems a little slow at times but we just keep plugging away. Cats meow 2017 is a good goal I do believe!

Well time has flown by and I havent had alot of time to work on sno-cat, got a couple hours in tonight . Pulled rear differential out so I can start looking into repairs. Also pulled rear fifth wheel out from under cat and started work to tighten it up a little . Seems to be in fair shape for the most part. Here are a few pics of progress.

Thanks for the compliments Davenet. Sure will be cool to see this thing in color again ... someday hopefully!! Would like to have it ready for snowcat gathering in 2017. Probably wont make 2016 at current progress rate. Its all good anyhow! Back out to work.

Well here it is almost 6 months later and still hoping to have a colored Tucker before winter . Cut off old pintle hitch and built front and rear receivers should be good tow points or maybe future winch mount. Also used paint stripper on inside got most all paint off ,still some clean up inside but progressing . Here are a few pics.

Thanks Tom I have been enjoying the posts on Katy. Wished I was half as talented as the Tucker group. Sure would help my progress rate a bunch, hoping for this winter to be done, but this "WORKING" thing sure gets in the way. Cant wait to see more on your Cat !!
