We went petless last year(2016) because of my allergies and a desire not only to breathe, but to take trips away without worry. The condition lasted until we got two free kittens ( Hardly free. No such thing exists BTW) last summer.
And now my granddaughter has moved in with a puppy.
I can (achoo!) relate

For the record, look closely. He has a safety line so the crew can drag his carcass out of the pond when he falls.
