I have a 1404 IMP that has had motor issues (bad balance shaft gear), it has not run well since repair. We were thinking of trying to replace the V4 with a small diesel engine. I remember reading about others who were successful with the conversion. It has the C-4 (?) trans-axle still. If anyone has advice on the subject please speak up.
