Litte Ski Hill closed for the season two weeks ago. So today there is a new 2” coat of fresh snow with more on the way- that can only mean one thing...winter 2019 is just around the corner. Lots of new stuff coming for next year starting with a soft touch “Wash Off” fund raiser by the McCall Fire Department after your long, dirty and salty trip to McCall.

That's a great addition. We hit the car wash before the ski hill, but the trailered cat was too tall, so we had to pull up close and stretch the hose, then turn the rig around for the other side. Otherwise the show & shine would have looked like a mud bog event instead.

We will be based at the Best Western McCall Lodge again in 2019. This time there will be no extra week end charges since it's Monday-Thursday and a larger room block to be held open as long as rooms are available. While the special breakfasts were great, in 2019 Best Western will hosting the morning meal Monday-Thursday for guests and all of the rest of us (If you know the secret handshake) to get us on the snow earlier. Hope to be at Timberline in a few weeks to say goodby to Winter 2018.:thumbup:

going from McCallin' 18 over to McCallin' 19

We made initial contacts last year with the Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary in the woods on the edge of McCall. Cathy and I have helped them out in the past but lost our links to them after a small, private dam broke flooding the refuge and just a bit later they lost their founder and executive director to a terminal illness. How about a hand from McCallin' All Cats 2019? They kinda do what we do...find injured and abandoned stuff in the wild, fix 'em up and then help them get back to the wild.

This is a great idea. Count me in for sure. I'll have my new tracks done by then. I'm looking for ways to help the town that is so gracious and to impress the USFS. I'd like to show the USFS we are good land stewards and are kind and helpful. We may have an opportunity to create an land access example for the other FS Districts to follow. I'm going to coordinate a donation to the food bank too. Im thinking 100 lbs of oranges to start...they would be the right color. I'll call them and ask what they need the most when the time gets closer. Anyone interested PM me.
Thanks, Dan

are you trying to get everyone to believe, you are getting an early start on the snow pack for McCall 2019. Better make your reservations NOW, February will be here in no time, right?

With our help and a big auction bid for a McCallin' 2017 poster donation , Little Ski Hill is well on it's way to a whole new kitchen and dining area. They want us again!

Now working on the USFS and LSH to let us have a big ol’ bonfire like 2017. Looks like we were a little low on snow but not on the brew.

Guess who’s coming to dinner?

Looks like a very rare 1965 Thiokol 604 Amfib is being worked on in hopes of having it ready to travel to McCallin’ 2019 this coming February. Already has had over 50 hours spent since these pictures were made getting the body closer to straight and able to swim across the mostly frozen reservoir at Jug Mountain Ranch. :laugh3:

McCallin’ All Cats 2019. Feb 18-22

00ps...Monday- Thursday February 18-21 2019, not the 22nd

Looks like it has been snowing most of the day in McCall. After spending the last 5 weeks in Northern California it will be great to be back in Idaho tomorrow. So... it’s time to really start thinking about McCallin’ All Cats 2019. Please post your thoughts and plans. :thumb: Steve and Cathy
