PG's Pearl Harbor thread reminded me of a book I had read.
Some years back I got a book for my son, The Children of Battleship Row: Pearl Harbor 1940-41 by Joan Zuber Earle
It is a book, about the author and her sisters expierience as children leading up the attacks on Pearl Harbor, the attacks, and her trip to San Francisco for the rest of the war.
Her father was in the Navy, thier on-base house overlooked the harbor and the USS Arizona. The house was shot up, and large chunks of debri from the various ships landed in thier yard.
It is geared more towards kids, but is a good read, from a different perspective, of the events of Pearl Harbor.
