Best martial arts movie?

Watched the "The Big Boss" the other day and made me wonder what has been the best martial arts movie made of all time?

Enter the Dragon gets my vote.

Don't think anyone has come close to being where Bruce Lee was in the height of his career.

Makes me wonder why I don't ever see any Bruce Lee movie marathons.

Because he had only ONE major release.

One major U.S release (not sure about Game of Death).

The Big Boss
Fists of Furry
Way of the Dragon
Enter the Dragon
Game of Death

Watching a martial arts film is like watching a porno. You don't rely on the plot to keep you intrigued (one reason why I did like Enter the Dragon, it actually had a decent plot with AMAZING skills).

Don't think he (Lee) could help it that he died at a young age.

Sorry, don't think Segal or Norris is even in the same league.

Jacki Chan (who seemed to rely on acrobatic skills to impress) or Jet Li a close or far second?

I was never impressed with Segal's films. His style certainly was interesting and the plots of his films were good but the way that he handled the various scenes left something to be desired IMHO. Norris, on the other hand, had a less impressive style and the plots of his films were a bit more far-fetched but he handled the confrontational scenes much better than Segal.

As far as Lee dying at an early age ... there are three rumors that I keep hearing. The first one was that he took too many blows to the head and that cost him his life. The second is that he was killed for teaching the martial arts to people outside of his country. And the third is that being a true master, he was called to eternity.

I feel deprived, I've never seen a Bruce Lee movie.

But I do enjoy the Jackie Chan movies. Funny and entertaining.

Doc, I guess for myself, that would be like enjoying a good comedy film with Robin Williams or Tom Hanks, but having never seen a film by the Marx brothers or the three stooges.

If you ever find "Enter the Dragon", rent it and let me know what you think (and a young Chuck Norris is even in that film).

I guess Bruce Lee was lucky enough that he didn't have make a Enter the Dragon 2,3 and 4.
