... Strong thunderstorms over southern Bayfield County...

At 845 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated an
area of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from cable to 5
miles southeast of Wascott... moving southeast at 25 mph.

These storms are capable of producing half inch diameter hail... wind
gusts up to 40 mph... occasional cloud to ground lightning... brief
heavy downpours...

Locations impacted include...
Totagatic Flowage... cable... Nelson Lake...
Stanberry... Springbrook... Springbrook...
Hayward... Lost Land Lake... Teal Lake...
Little Round Lake... Northwoods Beach... Chippewa Lake...
Stone Lake... Chief Lake... Reserve...


Gusty winds may cause small objects such as trash bins to blow
around. Stay away from high objects outdoors such as trees. Seek
shelter in a sturdy structure until these storms have passed.

A couple weeks ago, Madison, Sun Prairie and Mequon got it good. I was on the phone from about 10:30 pm until 4:00 am helping fix computer equipment.

Looks like that same storm is sweeping down toward Erie and then us. All the nice days we were supposed to have are now changed to thunderstorms and rain all this coming week.

I,d sure love to have some rain even if it came with some bad storms , its dryer then hell here & were looking at another 7 days of 100 degree temps & no chance of moisture . But then again its august & normal for here . We did luck out for 3 days in a row that were in low to mid 90,s so I cant complain :smile:

southeastern Sawyer County in northwest Wisconsin...

* until 1100 PM CDT

* at 1027 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a
severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado near Ojibwa... or
21 miles southeast of Hayward... moving east at 15 mph.

* This possible tornado will be near...
winter by 1045 PM...
Loretta by 1100 PM...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

If in Mobile homes or vehicles... evacuate them and get inside a
sturdy shelter. If no shelter is available... lie flat in the nearest
ditch or other low spot and cover your head with your hands.

The safest place to be during a tornado is in a basement. Get under a
workbench or other piece of sturdy furniture. If no basement is
available... seek shelter on the lowest floor of the building in an
interior hallway or room such as a closet. Use blankets or pillows to
cover your body and always stay away from windows.

Its poring rain big time.. the wind is blowing around 35 mph constant.. gust up to maybe 50mps.. Lots of lightning and thunder... nothing close to my house... power is still on.. DUH!
Hope i keep the power on - cuz it's just candles and flashlights after that!!!:unsure:
