My Kubota manual says that the boom lock should not be used when the tractor is parked. I keep the boom lock all the time when the BH is not in use. Is that bad and why?

Boy ! That is a new one on me 
In that case ,why does Case have a "Boom Lock" that has to be unlocked every time you use it . They say nothing about unlocking it .
I know on a JD350 crawler/hoe the final drives take a real beating over time and maybe relieving the weight of the Hoe might help from developing a flat spot or causing stress when it is parked . I doubt it though.
