Jim

Absolutely fabulous job on the Dozer.
I am excited to see the pix of it in the snow and hear about the maiden voyage.....

Been fun watching the little critter rise from the ashes and spread it's wings once again.

Very nice job , I'm new to this site , I was wondering what kind of tires you used ? I've just purchased a 1975 sv200 and didn't realize how bad the tire are , I also have to replace about 15 of the track alignment grouser backing pcs , and am trying to figure out how to tighten up the track tension , any help on these subjects would be great 👍 here is a picture of the one I bought

If your lucky there’s a grease cylinder that you can just give a couple pumps to and tighten up the tracks but if you run out of cylinder, There’s a threaded jam nut on the front carriage that pushes the front idler group forward tightening the tracks

Thx for reply kickerm, any idea on replacing tires ? I believe the fronts are foam filled but are not very round anymore! I'm thinking machine came with those stock, looks like some people are using a ribbed implement type tire

Sweet looking cat.....
The chipped teeth on the R&P can be an issue.....These types of diffy's can create junk (Thrust washers that go away....then pieces go through the gears....OR bearings and then if big pieces get loose....ALL BETS ARE OFF...

Depending on where the chips are and how large....You can use a die grinder and a stone to smooth the chipped edges and call it good.

If the chips are large.....A new gear set is in order...

My OC-12 had a few small dings but nothing bad.....Smoothed the areas up....cal it good.
I do not know about new gears for the Skidoser....But no matter....The R&P are not cheap....Maybe a good used set.
I would HAVE LOVED a fresh set for my cat,,,,,The 5.44:1 gears are very scarce

Good luck on the kitty.....
Fun stuff
