In a message focusing on the “precious element” of water, Pope Francis has called for urgent action to combat the “emergency” of plastics littering seas and oceans.

He lamented the lack of effective regulation to protect the world’s waters while also drawing attention to the perilous ocean crossings made by migrants around the world.
----
Let us pray that those who risk their lives at sea in search of a better future may be kept safe,” Francis added.

That's right.
Never mind more important emergencies going on right under your nose.

To liberals these are more important things. That is why I despise them so much.

Thing is, there are prolly more perverts in the Vatican then there is plastic in the oceans.

He should be. Bad enough the Bishops and Cardinals are part of the problem, but now, it seems, the Pope is too. The old saying a fish rots from the head down, certainly apples to the Catholic Church these days.

I think the pope is just showing his liberal bias by trying to deflect from his bigger worldwide problem within his church.
