Speed Queen Washer

The other day I went washing machine shopping. I think we are going to be needing a new machine shortly. I was shocked to see one in the store with the Speed Queen name on it and MADE in the USA!! Imagine that!!!!

I love the machine. I think I may be sold. It is not cheap at almost a grand and here is the kicker. It is the only machine left that has all analog controls. Yep, the old style round timer controls with a selector switch for hot, warm and cold. According to the salesman they have a cult following sell very well and are built like a tank. 25 year commercial grade. All steel. No plastic bullshit parts in the tranny.

Anyone familiar with these? Oh, and NO lid lock switch either, just like the old days. Wanna add a shirt or britches, just lift the lid and throw it in. No more pushing 15 buttons to stop and then restart. I love it.

No smartphone or wifi connectivity with this bad boy. LMAO.

We have an old Maytag with analog controls and we pray it will outlast us. Had to have a seal replaced in the tranny a few years ago and the repair guy said it was the last good maytag made.
