Abandoned places

I don't know what it is about abandoned places but I've always been intrigued by them. They're like taking a step back in time to a different era that time forgot. Out on highway 61 heading towards the border (Bob...you and your wife rode right by this place shortly after crossing into Canada), sits an abandoned ski hill that I went to as a child when it was still running. I came across this page this morning with a bunch of pictures. There were actually 5 ski hills open in the area back then. Now there's only 2.

As someone who often uses the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I am fascinated by the abandoned tunnels and some 13 miles of the route. Many of the tunnels were only one lane which did not work out well on the Interstate four lane system.

Same here. In the 1950s and 1960s when I was out hunting squirrels, rabbits and pheasants my favorite part was wandering through abandoned farm houses and like you, I wonder what went on there.

I do some ghost hunting every once in a while. No, I have never seen one.

Well guess what I just discovered.

Our property is close to 6 acres with less than 3 being developed. There are a few trails back in the wooded area. One joins onto the neighbors property and connects to the fairgrounds directly behind. I brought the side by side in from camp this morning so I decided to go exploring with it. Here is some of what I found. They've been there for years.

No need to go looking for ghosts, Lenny. The current crop of liberals are plenty scary enough and they are everywhere. :th_lmao::th_lmao::th_lmao:
