st-4 varriator adjustment thread pitch

as a piece of trivia the threads on the varriator adjustment bolt are not sae. as a general rule on the snow trac if the part is vw it is metric if a part was a snow trac part one would sae not true on the eye bolts in the varriator system I'm making a new one for another member I found while looking for dies t re thread the nut that the old threads on the bolt were 12 mm x 1.75 pitch not 1/2 x 20 as I had always presumed them to be.

I stripped mine because of that and had to build one new bolt and rethread.

On mine (1978 production year) almost everything under the hood was metric.
