Wanted: Spryte torsion axle

HankScorpio

Member
I am working on a spryte full cab. One of my torsion axles is bad on the drivers side. I need some options. I would buy a complete widetrack torsion axle, a narrow one to widen or just a drivers half from another bad axle to weld into mine as a repair. Any info or leads would be appreciated. I am in southeast WY, 2 hours from Denver.

Thanks for the lead. They are rubber torsion axles. The machine is missing its data plate so I am still figuring out exactly what everything is. I am a Tucker guy so this is all new.

A couple other leads for you: Thiokols, DMCs and LMCs were built in Logan, UT. Peterson Equipment in Logan were perhaps THE source for parts and knowledge for years. They sold all their parts inventory and have a non-compete clause, but the parts guy may be able to help you with suggestions. (I spoke with him about a year ago and thought he was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional.) Peterson Equipment: https://petersonequipment.com/

The company that bought the parts inventory is Snow Cat Service in SLC. Here's their website: http://www.snowcatservice.com/

And of course there's forum member Pat at Spryte Improvement in Wallace, ID.
