Homeowners? Real Estate buyers? New 3.8% tax coming your way!

This affects EVERYONE of EVERY income bracket who owns a home, wants to buy a home, will eventually sell a home, or is any sort of a real estate investor . . . get ready for a new tax.

Buried inside ObamaCare is a new transaction tax on the buying and selling of real estate. A new 3.8% tax will be imposed on all transactions effective 2013. So if you plan on doing any buying/selling you may want to do it in 2012 or sooner.

The question is how this will affect RENTERS. Landlords now have to deal with a new 3.8% tax that will affect their investment. Does this mean a 6 unit building worth $500,000 today will be worth 3.8% less? If so the landlord would naturally be bumping the rents up about 4% on their tenants to offset the loss they will take upon the sale of the building.

Its obvious that owners are going to be losing 3.8% when they sell their homes. Its pretty doubtful that the buyers are going to be willing to pay an extra 3.8% above what the house is worth!!! So that means it comes out of the owner's equity.

For Example: A $400,000 house is now going to be assessed $15,200 sales tax, which will affect retirees who are downsizing and planning their retirements.

Hidden Real Estate Sales tax in Health care bill – Surprise!

By Dr. Laurie Roth Tuesday, September 14, 2010
Hidden Real Estate Sales tax in Health care bill – Surprise! There are already at least 20 hidden taxes in the Obama Health care plan coming down upon us the next few years. So, along with rationed care for seniors and forced health insurance, we now find there is a Real Estate Tax snuck into the Health care plan. You may ask, what in God’s green earth does health care have to do with Real Estate taxes??? Absolutely nothing, that is precisely why one got snuck in there.

There has never been any rhyme or reason to this administration other than redistribution of wealth, socialism and inserting cradle-to-grave control. Using Health care as an excuse for seizing control of accounts and businesses is just one strategy. Obama has also planned all along to use the ‘environment’ i.e. Cap and Trade to take even more. This will do more than take. It will flatten American business and destroy our sick economy. Who cares what the American people think and what the constitution says! We are just in the way…..take, take, take.

I was forwarded this latest tax scheme by Van Hipp, President of American Defense International and the former Deputy Secretary of the Army under Bush senior and Ronald Reagan. He recommended the well known accountant and expert witness on tax matters, Paul Guppy who wrote a commentary on the various hidden taxes in the Spokesman Review paper, “Health Law’s Heavy impact.”

Starting in 2013, not only will you pay the closing costs and real estate fee when you sell your house but now you will pay a 3.8% Sales Tax...

One more reason to repeal this piece of crap legislation. Or start taking all the benefits away from those who voted for it.

How many reasons are we up to now? It still amazes me that this passed, and there are still roughly 55% of the population that want it repealed. Something like 35% actually think this was a good bill and oppose repealing it. Thank goodness that gubmint is here to help us!
