Just bought this old sheep herders camp at a farm auction and spent the last month rebuilding it . Turned out pretty cool and comfy. Added wood stove and 2 burner propane cook top a new pillow top matress new paint and wood flooring on inside. Exterior got a set of new tires ,steps, paint , propane tank and mounting,and a little paint .

Melensdad, Thanks they are kinda nostalgic and are just like owning a snowcat , in the fact you cant have just one . We now have another just as neat but definately unique.

My daughter wanted me to build one for her about 10 years ago. Somehow we never got around to doing that. We were going to base ours on the European Roma/Gypsy wagons, pretty much the same concept.

This is not mine but i think it might be closer to what you are referring to . Hope to get ours moved to the mountain soon. Still a bit to much snow af 9,000 feet to drag it in there. Soon enough .

Now that's my type of camping. Unfortunately I'm married to a woman who wants all the comforts and conveniences of home on the road. According to her, our 32' class "C" has its limitations and she wants to move up to at least a 40' class "A". That's a lot of money to invest for 2 months use a year. I'm more of a primitive guy myself. I want to go camping to leave all that crap behind, not bring it along with you. We're still discussing it!!!!! I think that I'll lose.

I have learned that once in a while losing has its upside. My wife loves this stuff and as a matter of fact the pictures of the second camp she bought herself. Got to love her!!! :smile:
