Ebay Auction For Vick Cards Ends; Winning Bid $7,400
August 29, 2007
The ebay auction for some Michael Vick trading cards chewed up by two Missouri dogs ended Wednesday morning with the winning of $7,400.
The money is expected to be donated to the humane society. The success of the auction, with 31 different bidders, spawned 25 other similar postings featuring Vick.
So far the original post by Rochelle Steffen has been the only auction to attract many bidders. teffen gave Monte, her 6-year-old Weimaraner, and Roxie, her Great Dane puppy, every Vick card she owned to destroy.
The gnawed cards were the most expensive Vick items on eBay, with well-preserved rookie cards, autographed jerseys and other collectibles selling for far less.
