Where to find LMC 3700 Marco splines?

Hey everybody,

Now that we have pulled the blown Allis Chalmers and found a replacement we're looking into what else we need to replace inside of this machine. It looks like the gear and spline in the Marco Hydraulic Pumpo Drive splitter box is very worn. We need to replace both the male/female sides.

The splitter box has the part number DP26-2-11-1.1E-C4. The female side of the spline has the part number GTW Seattle K74081.

Where can I find these two spline parts that connect the splitter to the engine? Any suggestions are most appreciated at this stage since we'll do nearly anything to save some time over the next week of work while we install a new AC engine.

How did you make out with the marco drive parts you were looking for ?? And did you get the allis-chalmers back together???:wave:

Yep, with Paul's input we were able to have a set of drive splines custom-manufactured for $1500!

And for the engine. Wow. The new one just got started yesterday! It took about 120 man-hours to pull the old engine, get a new one, install it and turn it on. We found an Allis Chalmers from an old tractor in California where the transmission had blown up but the engine was doing great. So it's now in a snowcat and we got an extra 20HP.

The whole engine blow-up event probably costs a total of about $6000 in parts (engine, splines, oil pump, new gaskets, etc.) and 120 labor hours. We had to pull parts from the old engine and put them on the new one since the oil pump system in the tractor engine was set up for level ground and the snowcat oil pumps pull from two sides of the oil pan.

So, if you count the man-hours at a paltry $60/hour, we were well into $13K of expenses to get this thing running again. But both of us didn't charge ourselves, so it's hard to value the time. Let's just say the total cost could have easily exceeded $9K.
