This is insanity. 800V in a car? I will tell you as a master electrician and high voltage line construction tech when I worked for a living, this is a horrible idea. That kind of DC voltage is insanity. The fault current generated with that kind of system I would want to be wearing a complete arc fault protection suit anywhere near that car and I am not joking. I always took arc fault protection very seriously. As well I should have.

Teslas operate at half that voltage according to this article and I would go no where near these things. I despise these cars are nowhere near safe enough in a accident. People will burn to death in droves very reminiscent of race car driving in the 50's and 60's.
