There is something so wrong with this video
and obvious that it will take 2 seconds for you to see it.

First and second replies get rep points.

Well the bar is upside down. Does it affect operation? Don't know. My last bar came with no markings in it and can fit either way.

Where's the chain brake/clutch handle?

I've got an old...I mean OLD....pioneer chainsaw out in the garage without the chain brake bought thought all newer models(anything newer than 1970) had a chain brake handle.

Stihl chain saw bars are flippable. So the most obvious error is not valid. But Groomer saw it!
The chain brake handle is missing! Good observation!

BTW.. that is a 021 or 025

But.. reps to all..

This is why Youtube should be taken with a grain of salt......
This fella never cut a piece of wood after he touched up the saw.

Sad part is this bone head just took 1/2 the life out of that chain and should never even hold a saw let alone sharpen one:ermm:

LOL He also says he does this "touch up" 15 times - then takes it in to a sharening company.

OMG!! I wasn't sure if this was a joke.. but he is serious.. IE:

I know it is an old post but thought I would comment anyway

This is not an error at all. Your bar should be flipped on a regular basis to prevent uneven wear The bar should be dressed from time to time also.

I also never use a guide to sharpen my chains. I never take them to be sharpened either. My neighbor does the same thing as the guy in the vid, files a few times and then can't get the chains to cut so he runs them down have them sharpened. Says his angles get to far out after a few filings. All they need is to take down there rackers a bit. Chains are sharper and last a lot longer doing them yourself
