Might be something to do with the ride, Skurka.
OK, I understand how to ride a woman with 38KKK breasts, but how to you ride a motorcycle so large that you can't hold it up at a stoplight?

Why? Eh, because you can.

As far as keeping upright at a stoplight, the seat is low enough that your feet reach the ground and then it's just a matter of keeping it balanced.

Has anyone seen a picture or video of anyone riding it? I haven't seen any. Hmmm.

Well, I've seen a two "Boss Hoss" models riding around in Madison. Both had V-8's, one a 505 and the other a 460. They both weighed about 900 pounds.

My guess is that this one is a show-bike.

I've seen a number of Boss Hoss on a trip to Sturgis a few years back. Even with a V8, they are supposed to be pretty well balanced. If they can do that, then a well designed bike like in the picture could be too...

There's a guy in Saint Joseph with a 426 Hemi for an engine. Straight pipes too. One of my kid's friend's dad.

Having ridden a 500ci 'Hoss, they are very stable and scary powerful.

Is is just me or tdo the 'jugs' on that motor look like they cam off a Pratt & Whitney Radial engine?

There is a chopper with this type of radial motor on the 'net somewhere, and I mean a recent custom. I'll look for it.

That's a Rotec Radial engine on that one. Really cool Australian made motor. Comes in a 110 and 150 hp version. (A fraction of the size of the above picture.)

Thanks for the find.

Seeing that it's a rotary motor (even in a bike that's built as an exercise in design), it should be smooth, like a big Wankel.

I'll bet a valve and ring job costs a few bucks, however.

Edit: As a boy, I saw one of the last of the Ford Tri-Motors parked at Milwaukee's Billy Mitchell field. I believe my Dad called it a "Tin Goose."

Yup, that's it:

This is what a Rotec looks and sounds like in it's proper application. (Airplane is a KitFox -- Someday... :whistling:)

This little bird is my desktop picture for inspiration. That motor is too pretty to put a cowling over.
