Low Pressure Tires

Visited a guy in Minnesota a couple of weeks ago that had imported some Chinese Sherp tires last year. These are used on the Sherp clones, Thor and Fat Truck. Aired down I was told they perform well in snow as far as wheels go. Interesting tires for sure.

Seems they would interesting to run on side slopes.....
I was thinking the same
if you run in the hills you'll get a little sideways action. maybe put cuts in the tread will help.

any idea on what those Sherp tires ran him?

You'd end up ordering a 20ft container load to make it worthwhile (20pcs). The cheapest quote I got from China was $580/tire C&F to Chicago. Tack on 25% tariffs and all the other customs, broker fees, bondage that go with it. I'll probably end up just buying from the dude in Minnesota as I would only need four if I built an ATV. Maybe since you're on the west coast you'll save some in shipping.

I asked the same question, apparently when they are aired down the side walls flex so much that it creates a bulldozer effect. I haven't watched the sherp enough to see it for myself though.

side hills in the snow is going to be different in muddy conditions, but up here on semi packed trails or over wind blown snow they would be cool the tires would also need some kind of bead lock to like the hutchnenson ctis wheels the military has.
