While most years we on the West side have a mild fire hazard, when we do get the conditions it can make some of the biggest single fires and the most destructive ones. The biggest fire in Oregon was the Silverton fire at 980,000 acres. Others the Yacolt burn in SW Washington, Forks Wa, Elkhorn Oregon to name a few

i will bet up are in corvallis right now, fighting the fire, good job on getting it out so quickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The aerial view. I was Division Supervisor On the "West Division" which was the housing on the right side of the picture. Long night Got home at 6 this morning.
