So I rolled my ankle, It is disgustingly black and blue and sore all over.

I powered through the first two days of ankle hell, fitting rubber terra tracks on a 1642 ME in preparation of the winter clowder 2019.

I can't walk any more, so I jumped on the internet.......

Googled "custom snow cat " looking for cab ideas should this terra track conversion work as advertised here on forums forums....

found this......!!!!!

this caught my eye.
"Imp was a great ride but crushed the ground it traveled upon"....

Come on, I am in a spirited mood, (deleriouslsy with pain)so I will ballsy say......

a wussy imp, the NOT 1450 ones, match up pretty well with the bombi ( the actual bombi) I would say the Imp's out perform the Bombi on every front except they are much cheaper to buy.

Now if you compare the 442 tucker which is a 244 in the article (author is obviously not a participant on this forum)) there are different abilities all abound.

But to slam the lowly imp to the links of the BOMBARDIER Bombi is just straight wrong.

this article needs some fact checking....

Yes this author is a neophyte for sure...:yum:

Mentions in the Tiokol section the movie "The Shining" and is a total failure because there was also a Snow Trac ST4 in the same movie... :hammer:

Such a gross act to ignore the Snow Trac, one of the more widely built machines out there...

For anyone who cares, Sqwrl is right, fact checking is needed. The "443" from the movie is not a 443 but is a 524. Also wrong, all four 743 TAE Tuckers made the entire trip across the South Pole. The one shown was never driven by Lt. Cousins but was driven by Sir Vivian Fuchs and is located in Medford Oregon. The 743 in which Lt. Cousins died was the one of four which had the rear side windows. It was named The County of Kent. It and Sno-Cat Able were both sold to New Zealand after the TAE crossing.

Take care of that ankle Mr. Sqwrl, get well soon.
