Glad that you and Gretchen are OK. Those things are freekin' scary. More than once we've been under the house. Once you get there, you know that you're pretty darned safe but .....
At your facility, where do you shepherd your patients to be safe?
Many of them were already in bed, so then we close the window blinds and pull the privacy curtain around, then close their doors.
Those that tend to wander and are little stinkers are kept with us.
We have many areas throughout the facility that are designated safe places.
The east wings have a med room, 2 storage rooms and a public restroom.
The west wing has a shower room, med room and therapy/weight room that are all enclosed with no outside walls.
Rehab has a large shower, boiler room and med room.
The assisted living folks know to already get to the big break room in the basement before it gets bad, or to go to the 1st floor rest rooms or to go into someone elses room and get in their bathroom with the door closed.
It's quite a scramble!
