track tightness

Hello all,
We've got a LMC 1800. I think I am keeping the tracks about as tight as they shoulkd be, but, ocassionally during a turn, you can feel the track sliping thru a tooth on the rear srocket. Is this normal and acceptable or does it mean the tracks are too loose?
