puyallup ridge in washington

had to go to Puyallup ridge tower to fix a failed emergency repeater for mt rainier mud flow warning Thursday.
a good firm snow. I only sank up to 12 inches .

stopped short of the top because of nasty side hill. then snowshoed with gear in a sled the 15minutes to the top

I was slow arriving and caught bruce coming back looking for me. I hope it wasn't because he didn't want the guy with the cat's keys missing.

I was told that this could be the last lookout tower built in Washington. the doors were locked with most of the gear still inside. propane tank is still connected.

I would love to see that lookout sometime.

Oh yeah and the guy with the keys in hos pocket rarely walks.
