Bombardier Muskeg Trailer T7 track tensioner

My trailer has mechanical track tensioners that might be similar to the pre greased-cylinder track tensioner used on the muskeg. Does anyone know which hex fastener to hold and which to turn and in what direction for track loosening. Mine seem either siezed or really tight and this forum seems handy for saving bruised knuckles from guesswork.

like this? Nut on right locks the adjustment (jam nut) and covers the threads to keep them clean. Nut on left adjusts tension after jam nut is loosened.

You'll also have to loosen the bolts on the wheel mount when adjusting so it can slide.
