I thought maybe you had bought it and were trying to throw everyone off.
The triple axle tucker probably got a nice ride west on a triple axle trailer. I did tell the auctioneer that I'd pay the buyer more than scrap value just in case it wasn't a tucker taker that took it.

As long as I'm this deep into the thread that I only got myself into because of proximity to the auction that I didn't go to, I found this article about Cockaigne ski area.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/articl...sf/2017/12/western_new_yorks_cockaigne_sk.amp

Maybe the original owner has some nice pictures of the cat for reference

I also saw on another page somewhere that they get 250-275" of Lake effect snow off of Lake Erie, heavy stuff that would warrant some extra pontoons pulling.

that's it, I'm done even thinking about snowcats for the rest of summer:laugh3:

well, here is full disclosure.

about exactly one year ago. I stayed at Peek and peak, merely by accident. some softball tournament was in the area and I was unable to find lodging. When I woke up in the morning there was quite of interest in my vehicle in the parking lot. You guessed it I was hauling a vintage tucker. and some ratty grooming attachments that only a true enthusiast would appreciate.
I got a tour of the grooming barn and ski hill operations and found out about a 6x6 tucker...... sitting rotting at a local ski hill......

I said yah right.... and drove on about my business.

$400 you say........

I may have missed the auction (kick, kick, cuss, kick) but got on the email list for Cockaigne ski resort and just booked a rv site for the brewgrass fest!

Notice:Very loosely connected to the original post, please close the window if it's too annoying that I posted this, or if you hate beer and wine and bluegrass and camping at a ski hill that once auctioned off a six tracked tucker for $400

well given Davenet just saw a rubber tired tucker moving about in NY, alcohol and music were involved when I was at peek and peek so perhaps the post is more connected than you think

Well I didn’t find any Tucker’s for sale but we had a great time at this soon to be formerly lost ski hill. The bands were incredible, the crowd was friendly, the beer was cold and good. We met one of the owners and his wife and they let us go snooping out back. There were some old rollers, old and new fan guns, two BR-350’s, a 3700cf, a valley engineering drag that I’m guessing is a powdermaker, and a Tucker that isn’t quite ready to leave the hill. They are building a really nice lodge and a huge outdoor stage for future events, can’t wait to ski there this winter and we will definitely return for the brewgrass fest next year!
