Albert "Doc" Brown, survivor of the infamous 65 mile Bataan Death March, died August 14th, in an Illinois nursing home. He was 105. Over 78,000 American and Filipino prisoners forced by the Japanese to march from Bataan to a pow camp. Along the way, those who fell or stumbled were shot, stabbed or beheaded by the Japanese. In total, an estimated 11,000 men lost their lives during the march.
