There’s probably not a happier man in America than former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

Behind bars for the past eight years, Blagojevich was serving 14 years in a Colorado prison when President Donald Trump intervened Tuesday to commute his sentence, and the Democrat found himself walking as a free man before the day came to a close.

“He’s got, obviously, a big fan in me,” Blagojevich said of the president while talking with reporters. “And if you’re asking what my party affiliation is, I’m a Trumpocrat.”

If President Trump had pardonedme I would sing his praises to.

Trump commutated Rob's sentence.

He did not pardon him, he still has a criminal's record, and this is as it should be...

Blagojevich was railroaded by a corrupt Illinois attorney general who was eavesdropping on his phone conversations. The AG ceased his surveillance to insure Obama's involvement would not be known by way of the phone calls being taped. Which is why Blagojevich was not brought to trial for over a year and a half after being arrested in an early Sunday morning raid by an antiterrorist squad of law enforcement and the taped conversation never released. He took no money and made no deal. He simply stepped on the wrong toes and paid for it with eight years of his life.

The entire justice system in this country is corrupt and biased and Blagojevich received 14 years in jail because of it. This is a longer average jail sentence for first time offenders than either rapists or child sexual offenders.

I am not saying Blago is a golden boy here, because he was not, but seriously?

I have to say the old boy aged very well in prison. The grey hair and full mop is a good look for him.

Sorry wrong choice of words, but anyone who sprung me from prison I would be a fan of.

I do hear from his sister Colleen as we are Facebook friends.
She broke her leg and recently had to have it pinned, in a cast and not so laid up.
