Just a few pics from yesterday with the 1970 442 before our snow is gone for the season. We received about 15 inches on Thursday, but it was melting fast at 55 degrees.
Finally got out today..hit the Grand Mesa..18" of snow last night and snowing while we rode. Looks like the last ride of the year though..broke through the snow into a 3ft hole on a packed trail. I was able to get out of it but made me leery of going on so we settled for 15 miles and lunch at the lodge. Did get a chance to pitch the owner of the Grand Mesas Lodge on hosting a snowcat rendezvous next year.
If any one has any interest I will pursue this. this would be in western colorado out of Grand Junction. Lots of area to roam and lodges and fuel
Tom,
Sounds like a fun day! Do you know any history on the Tucker logo on the front of your hood? Was that from the factory? I'm curious when they started and stopped that if it was from the factory. Btw, nice pic!
The hood is a factory fiberglass hood according to the build sheet. So I am going to assume the logo is too. According to Broken Grouser they only made these hoods for a couple of years. I have never seen another one like it.
Nice to see you made it to the lake shore. Will have to do this next time I get up that way. Who owns the tucker pick up? Doesn't look like yours, unless with all the $$ you made pulling ice houses.... You had to have two...
It's a new addition to the family for now.... I think it may have a new owner by next winter. I have had alot of interest expressed on it. I attached a couple of pics with my 300 series to show the size differences. Its pretty interesting having the two side by side for comparison.
