Aww Nixon!!
I love the sound of bagpipes!!
A cute story:

Last year when my son, daughter in law, my grand daughter Kasey and I went to Indy for the 500, we first took a walk through the museum.
The Scottish pipers walked through playing.
I was holding Kasey's hand at the time and she said NANA, pick me up!!
I did, then she buried her head in my shoulder and hid.
I asked her why she was frightened and she said "I don't like it, they sound sad"
I finally got her to look at them and explained a little about what they were and how the sound comes out of them.
She still wasn't having it, but after they left she kept asking "where's the "bagginpipes?" :D

Now, here's a song I really like that includes the pipes.
Wings- Mull Of Kintyre ;)

Wow. Excellent. Thanks for posting everyone. I like just about all kinds of music, but there is really something special about the pipes! I could listen to that music all night.

Never thought to find bagpipes on youtube; great thread!

There's a Scottish/Irish brewpub in Watertown where on any given night you might hear the proprietor piping someone a "happy birthday" or, after a wee dram of Famous Grouse or the like, about any tune you'd like to hear on the pipes - maybe even some that shouldn't be....
