When I was younger back in about 1975 I hated Elton John's music. Today I like a lot of it. The Who, ya loved them way back when and still love their music today.

Elton sucked after Yellow Brick Road IMO.
Yup, The Who rock.
Saw them at Sheffield Arena 4 months before John Entwistle died.
Amazing!

I saw the Who in Cleveland Stadium back in 89 I think it was. The Kids are alright tour. They started out playing all of Tommy and kept going with their classics Substatute was soooo good live. Surprised me. Barbra O'Riley Rocked as it always has!!! ;thumb:

I saw them in the winter of '02 Doc.
Thrilling to see Roger Daltry still in form... throwing his mic all over lol
Actually, they all were. Pete Townshend doing the windmill.. John Entwistle possibly the most amazing bassist ever. He made it look like he was just running his fingers up and down the instrument barely touching it.
Ringo Starr's son was playing drums for them.

In the '70's I had every Elton John album/or 8 track. I actually got 3rd row center tickets to see him at Blossom music center near Akron, for an outdoor concert. Now that he's officially outed himself as gay, I can't stand the guy.........It's like he took my childhood innocence away.........In the 70's I'm not sure we even knew what "gay" was..........

Saw the Who at Richfield Colleseum.......It was supposed to be their last tour..(not ! ).......They were great & the light show was fantastic.........Still have a Who CD in my jukebox.........but NO Elton !!:hammer:

PS.........I'll give the guy a slight reprieve for the "Diana" version of "Candle in the wind". (But I'm still pissed !!)

With outfits he wore back in the 70's I always kind of thought there was something funny about him. Get over the gay thing and his music is great

SO Pirate..........You're saying I was never innocent ??:whistling:
Not saying that at all Tom.:whistling:
I understand how you felt at that time, because I did too.
Back then being gay was something hidden away, and if someone whom we liked/loved suddenly were one of "them".....well.....

P.S.: I doubt you were ever entirely innocent..:yum::brows:
