Bahamas - What to do or see?

We just booked a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas.
We'll have about 8 hours in Freeport and 24 hours in Nassau.

Anything in particular to see? Thinking mainly Freeport.

Mrs. Zoom has booked us a room at the Atlantis hotel in Nassau. I doubt we'll stay the night but getting the room gets us into all the attractions there (and is cheaper than paying for a "shore excursion").

If you can make it over to Cable Beach, there's a great restaurant called Johnny Canoe. Carribean cuisine and they do a junkanu band parade thing (kinda like Carnival in Rio). Check if they're open, though. When I was there last year, they closed January 28, I think, for the "season" which is kind of ironic, given that Fat Tuesday was just around the corner. Here's a pic:

Next to Johnny Canoe is the Wyndham Resort. A couple of nice restaurants (I remember the steakhouse was pretty good) and a casino, but I gotta warn ya. The staff there is kinda rude.

Almost forgot. If you're into SCUBA and have the time, Stuart Cove's dive shop is a top notch operation. I highly recommend the shark dive if you can get there.

All my posts are in reference to Nassau, btw.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Our Nassau visit is filling up quickly as Mrs. Zoom and the kids check things out.

For Freeport, the only thing we have so far is a morning excursion for the kids to swim/play with the dolphins.
