Nice place.

We went there a week or 2 ago and had a great time. The architecture, aquariums and water parks are fantastic.

They have some nice water slides that kept the kids (OK, and myself) going all day. I liked the "Leap of Faith" at the Mayan Temple as well as "The Abyss" in the Power Tower but I couldn't talk the kids into riding them. They both start the ride with a 50'+ vertical drop where you float away from the slide for a bit before you re-touch and proceed down the ride. They did like the slide that takes you through the clear, underwater tube that is in the shark filled lagoon.

The casino was nice but I didn't play much (since the kids are too young and couldn't loiter).

Sounds great. That underwater tube would be the bomb. :D

OK, There is quite a few good pictures on their site but here's some things that were there that weren't pictured on their site.

There are 4 very nice Chihuly glass pieces. These are between the main lobby and the casino. Each is probably 8-10' across (as seen by the room/entry it's sitting on). Not pictured is the chandelier or the crystal gate. Those are both on this site. http://www.chihuly.com/installations/atlantis/index.html

One of several cute signs to remind people to not feed the local wildlife.

More later (I need to get the pics off Mrs. Zoom's camera).

My son was on cloud nine. He's been wanting to go into the "big kids" water parks but he never could. First, he's not a very good swimmer (but we spent a full week in the pool before hand so he got much better) but mainly, he was never the required 48". Well, we told him a couple months ago that he had better start eating if he wanted to get that tall. He did his very best at eating. We knew it was going to be close. Well, on the first ride, he got pulled aside and asked to stand up next to the measuring sign to see if he's tall enough. He looked worried to death that he wasn't tall enough but obliged. He made it by about 1/4". You should have seen the glow in his face. He didn't jump up-and-down or anything (since he's a big boy now and knows to keep his composure) but he was just ear-to-ear grin. He was proud as a peacock each subsequent time he got pulled out of line to get measured.

Here's my son on the cruise ship with one of his "towel varmints".
