Cool! My favorite chase is Vanishing Point. Especially when the Camaro hits the bull dozers. Yes, a Camaro was substituted for the Challenger to be blown up against the bull dozers. If you freeze-frame the picture right before impact, it is very clear it is a Camaro; the tail lights and trunk outline give it away.
