The common inner city black man or black woman has absolutely no interest in what Dr Carson has to say. None. His message might as well be presented in Chinese. It represents work and self reliance, things foriegn to the inner cities.
But if one of the fake reverends preach the same old message of oppression and victimization, it is gobbled up as gospel. Ben is wasting his breath.

Well, Dr. Carson went on to specifically note the history of Margaret Sanger's movement of black infanticide within the structure of Planned Parenthood in the inner cities. He made no bones that Sanger WAS (and Planned Parenthood still IS) attempting to control the black population.
Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood's history is widely known in most "informed" circles, but must come as a startling revelation to most blacks. It will therefore fall upon deaf ears within the black community, if not be forcefully condemned as just another lie proffered by just another Uncle Tom. The fake black reverends will lead the vilification of Dr. Carson.
Ben is wasting his breath. The power and reach of so-called black victimization is too great.
Perhaps, but these "fake black reverends" generally use the old method of "discrediting the messenger" to achieve their goals. That's kind of hard to do when you're dealing with a brain surgeon. Also, I think it's fair to say that most people that Al and Jessie come up against are motivated by how much money they can pull out of the money pot. I don't feel Dr. Carson motivated as much by money as he is in doing the right thing.
Oh, and Ben Carson is a joy to listen to. He speaks very well and is an easy man to like. He is the hero that the black population has needed and I believe they will embrace him for being everything they wanted out of Obama but failed to get.

We can only hope you are right, squerly. But we shall see to which voice the black community listens. Will it be the voice of reason and personal responsibility? ... or the same 50 year-old voice of "what's-in-it-for-me" oppression and victimization?
We shall see. Old habits are hard to break.
Also, let us not forget the Socialist Democratic Party has, in essence, turned their back on the African-American population, instead, turning their attention to their new "victims", the Hispanics. They will take the black vote for granted, not so much with the Hispanics.

No. He spoke in front of the crowd for a little over an hour and then people lined up in the hot Sun (check the sweat on his shirt) to get their pictures taken with him. He gave a good speech that everyone liked.
