Bernie Sanders believes in the redistribution of wealth

Fusion senior editor Felix Salmon sat down with Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders in Los Angeles last Wednesday, the day after the first Democratic presidential debate, to talk about economic policy.

That day, at least, fresh off his strong performance in front of 15 million people, Sanders was not in policy-wonk mode. Instead, he had one big message that he wanted to convey: The rich and powerful have far too much control of America, and it’s time the country was run not for them but for the 99%.
Q: Thank you for doing this. As an Englishman, I’m glad to see proud socialists running for president. Do you believe in redistribution of wealth?

A: Yeah. I think what’s happened is that there has been mass redistribution of wealth in this country for the last 30 years. The problem is it’s gone from the middle class to the top one-tenth of 1%. And I think we have to redistribute it back to working families and the middle class so that they can have a decent standard of living.

Canada just elected a socialist as their Prime Minister. We will have a year to see how Canada fairs. My fear is that now that Canada has done something stupid, our country will also and we will see Sanders taking the oath of office in January of 2017. :sad:

No way that idiot Sanders gets the nomination. He cannot win the election and the DimWits know that.

That is why Biden is being kept in reserve by the DNC. He is taking his marching orders from the DNC Chair Marge Simpson and is at her beck and call.

If and when the Hildabeast implodes, the DNC will break the glass, push the Biden button and set off the alarm and there he is to save the Dummys from themselves and continue the failed policies of Hussein el-bama.

I wouldn't be so dismissive of Bernie Sanders. The youngsters that make up an electorate that was stupid enough and ignorant enough to elect the Muslim-lovin' socialist Barack Hussein Obama -- twice -- is ignorant enough to elect Bernie. The under-informed electorate has no clue as to what "socialist" realty means. To this American electorate, socialism sounds like a pretty good concept. After all, free stuff is free stuff. How the free stuff gets paid for is inconsequential. It will somehow just happen. Magic. Not my problem.

I agree that is what the talking heads say. But, Biden? They really believe if Hillary is arrested and tossed in jail for her many atrocities that Biden could step in and win? I would think the dimwits that voted not once, but twice for Obama would jump on the Bernie bandwagon.

I am afraid I agree with you. I think/hope Clinton is going down. If she does Sanders is in the race. Trump against Sanders would truly be a vote for the future of this nation.

Very Scary stuff imo.

I hope you are right gentlemen, but I fear you are being way to optimistic on the DOJ taking a non partisan stance, stepping up to the plate and doing the right thing.

El-bama has already stated on 60 Minutes that he believes she did nothing wrong. He has his mind made up well before the FBI issues its finding. His intentions are now very clear.

A decision to indite from the FBI will not be pursued by the DOJ under pressure from the White House. It is just not going to happen.

Hillary will then twist the truth around to her favor and cite a Republican witch hunt that was out to get her from the beginning. She will say that if indeed she was guilty the DOJ would pursue the issue.

The mainstream media will embrace it with the notable exception of Fox News,
which will continue to preach to the choir until they are blue in the face.

Meanwhile, Hillary who has moved far left for this very reason, and not because of Bernie, will continue to solidify her base who will blindly follow her like they did el-bama.

If I was a crook, this is what I would do. I hope to God I am wrong, but I do not believe so. Hopefully I will be coming back here eating my comeuppance of crow, with pleasure. :smile:

Bernie has raised as much as Hillary so far. Hillary has raised most of hers through big money donors. Bernie has raised his through small donations from the masses with no big money. He could run a formidable campaign against the republicans.

But I fear for Bernie a sad disappointment come the primary vote. The fix is in for Biden.
Obama and Hillary are hardly friendly. Joe represents a third term for President Fosdick. And Barry needs a good friend in case there is a need for a pardon. Something he won't give or get from Hillary.

Just announced Biden is out. The path is now clear for Hillary to get the nomination. Biden has stepped aside, next will be the DOJ.
