Aftermarket Front End Loaders: Woods/Rhino/Etc

Please make the following ASSUMPTIONS:
  • You are buying a brand new tractor
  • You are buying a brand new front end loader
Now, based on the above 2 assumptions, would you put an "aftermarket" front end loader on your tractor IF there was an original equipment loader available? WHY?

Now please add 2 more assumptions:
  • THERE IS A KNOWN PRODUCT DEFECT/DESIGN FLAW WITH A SPECIFIC LOADER
  • You are NOT buying the tractor, but you are recommending the tractor to someone else
Would you recommend the specific tractor that works with that above loader, but tell the buyer to buy an aftermarket loader? Or would you tell they buyer to look at a different brand of tractor that had matching components that were proven?

Bob, personally ,I'd tell the buyer to look at brands that have factory loaders .
For Me ,anyway , the main reason to buy a Cut is the FEL . If the factory FEL has a known defect, then I would wonder about other hidden flaws in the machine itself .

Is there any issue with the aftermarked FEL affecting the OEM warantee?

Dave, presume the answer to that is NO.

However, if something breaks then there may be a situation where the tractor MFG blames the loader MFG and the loader MFG blames the tractor MFG. . . so you may be dealing with some fighting trying to get your warrenty claim made?
