Here is my latest acquisition. A friend of mine saw it at a govt surplus sale and asked if I'd be interested. Hell yeah! A Hammarlund SP-600, one of the finest tuning radios every made. In the way-back I used these beasties to pick up Ruskie and Chinese telemetry. Looking forward to getting home and seeing if this boat anchor works! Anyone else have an old radio? I also have a battery-powered 1938 Philco in storage somewhere. Will dig it out for a picture next month.

I've had a SP-600, then a 51S-1. I presently have a National NC-303 and a Viking Valiant. The general coverage receiver is a NC-109.
